We are a voluntary group and charity providing caring support in a homely and friendly environment, to help and support people affected by cancer, their families and friends.
Lyndale provides a cancer support service to individuals and families affected by cancer within the Knowsley region and surrounding areas.
We provide emotional and practical support, complementary therapies, one – to one and group support sessions in a welcoming environment.
Our service is confidential and free, and lead by a team of Trustees, Key Volunteers and Volunteers with many years experience.
The Lyndale team are very aware of the many aspects of emotions and support needed following a cancer diagnosis.
Quite often, our support is nothing more than a listening ear in our informal ‘drop in’ centre.
We are passionate about helping others affected by a diagnosis of cancer.
Our shared experiences help in the fight against cancer. This is particularly important in Merseyside with the one of the highest incidence rates of cancer in the UK.
We provide both one to one and group support to cancer patients, carers and their families in a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, run solely by volunteers. The support is provided face to face through daily drop in and via phone, information library, complimentary therapies and a host of other activities and social events.
On the 1st Wednesday of each month at 11 am, we have visits from a qualified Benefits Adviser to give any help and support. You can ring the Centre and book an appointment.
We also have monthly visits from a qualified Solicitor again to help with advice and support. Please ring the Centre to book an appointment and for time of next visit.
Daily therapies are provided that include reiki, indian head massage, hand and foot massage. reflexology, auricular acupunture and The Bowen Technique. We also run fortnightly Beauty Therapy sessions.
